The Athens-Limestone Beautification Board was added to the KALB umbrella in 1981.
This is an all-volunteer board dedicated to managing green space and beautification projects that benefit the City of Athens and Limestone County. Some of those projects include the presentation of Beautification Awards to local businesses, industries, churches, or public buildings, planting and maintaining the Clinton St. triangle as well as the flower pots around the Courthouse Square. This board also funds the maintenance of the landscaping around the Welcome to Athens Signs and provides assistance with beautification and landscaping of city cemeteries.
